It's after 3:00am, and I've been up this far into the morning for the past many mornings. My wife is out of town and I'm pretending to work really hard for long and late hours.
The cable guy came and screwed me. I'd been splicing the cable going to the computer for internet and sprouting it into the other room for bill-free cable television. The other morning the guy came knocking, talking about some filter he had to put on and how the TV would cost me now if I wanted to sign up.
I went and got an antenna. Goodbye 24hr news channels. Goodbye NBA during the week. Later on MTV (devil) programming. So long creepy Crossing Over. I'm told less television could be good for the writing. We'll see...
In other news, I'll be doing a reading here in Seattle at the Coffee Messiah on April 21st. Also reading will be Michael Workman and Greg Purcell. Michael and Greg are out touring in support of Bridge magazine (www.bridgemagazine.org). Stay tuned for details.
